St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, founded in 1962, is a pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children’s catastrophic diseases. It is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The Williamsport Crosscutters are proud sponsors of the Lycoming County United Way, which is continually evolving toward a more responsive and inclusive community caring system, specifically addressing the needs of the region. At the core of its mission is mobilizing resources to improve lives and placing the highest value on creating effective partnerships through volunteer leadership and governance.
The organization was created to help assist diversified inner city and rural area youth of the Trident and surrounding areas of Charleston, South Carolina through life skill training, positive mentoring, job training and placement and healthy lifestyles through sports. Currently the organization has a major partnership with the Charleston, South Carolina Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program (RBI) which teaches life skills through experiences around the diamond and America’s award winning SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves program.
Canines for Service has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for independence for people with disabilities. Canines for Service is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to achieve greater independence and enhanced quality of life through the services of specially trained dogs.
